One of the successful candidates, IAS Gamini Singla has inspired many to follow in her footsteps.

One of the biggest reasons why her strategy and advice can be useful to all the candidates aspiring to become an IAS officer is because she scored 3rd rank in the UPSC exams which is quite creditable.

After clearing the exam with such a high rank in 2021, Gamini released her first book titled “How I Topped the UPSC And How You Can Too.”

In this book, she has shared her experience as well as mistakes while preparing for the IAS examination. Gamini has revealed in this book that she was quite frightened while preparing for the exam and even had to face the loss of her grandfather a couple of days before the Mains exam.

She used to revise everything that she read and solved mock tests and papers from previous years. She also focused on practicing writing answers. Apart from that, Gamini took good care of her health and was particular about including fruits and nuts in her diet. She avoided eating oily and heavy foods as they cause sleepiness and affect studies.

To ensure that she stays motivated toward fulfilling her goal, Gamini stayed in touch with positive people on regular basis. The successful candidate said no topper is extraordinary and anyone can achieve success with hard work and by staying focused, reevaluating self, and keeping a positive mindset.
