The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has published an official notification for the recruitment of National Defence Academy & Naval Academy Examination (II), 2024.

Eligible and interested candidates can apply for the posts on upsc.gov.in and upsconline.nic.in.

The application process has commenced and the last date to apply for the post is June 4, 2024.

The window for correction of application form is likely to open between June 5 and June 11, 2024.

UPSC Recruitment Details

Total Vacancy: 404 posts

National Defence Academy

Army: 208 posts (including 10 for female candidates)

Navy: 42 posts (including 06 for female candidates)

Air Force:  

  1. Flying: 92 posts (including 02 for female candidates)

  2. Ground Duties (Tech): 18 posts (including 02 for female candidates)

  3. Ground Duties (Non Tech): 10 posts (including 02 for female candidates)

Naval Academy (10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme): 34 posts (including 05 for female candidate)

Educational Qualification

To be eligible for the Army Wing of the National Defence Academy, candidates must have passed the 12th class examination following the 10+2 pattern of School Education or an equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University. 

For admission to the Air Force and Naval Wings of the National Defence Academy, as well as for the 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at the Indian Naval Academy, applicants should have successfully completed the 12th class examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics under the 10+2 pattern of School Education or an equivalent qualification administered by a State Education Board or a University.

Age Limit

Only unmarried male/female candidates born not earlier than January 2, 2006 and not later than January 1, 2009 are eligible.

Application Fee

Candidates, except for Female/SC/ST candidates who are exempted from the fee, must pay a fee of Rs 200. This fee can be paid by remitting the money in any Branch of SBI by cash, or by using Visa/Master/Rupay Credit/Debit Card/UPI Payment, or by utilizing internet banking facility of any Bank.
