Bandha Kobi Maccha Munda Chhenchada is a delicious dish from Odisha in which the headpieces of Rohu and Bhakur fish are used.  This Odisha-born recipe is relished as a side dish with plain rice. Ingredients:
•    Head and tail portion of Rohu or Bhakur fish
•    Cabbage: 500gm ( cut into thin slices)
•    Potato: 1 medium size (peeled and cut into small cube)
•    Onion- 2 small (sliced)
•    Ginger paste- 1 tsp
•    Garlic paste-1 tsp
•    Tomato- 1 small (cubed)
•    Garam masala-1 tsp
•    Oil, Turmeric, Salt, Chili powder according to taste
•    Coriander leaf

Instruction

Clean and marinate fish with 1 tsp salt and 1tsp turmeric. Heat oil in a pan and fry the fish and keep aside. Add some oil in the pan. Then add chopped onion and stir for 3-5 minutes. Add ginger and garlic paste and stir for 5 min before adding tomato, chilli powder, turmeric powder and stir for some time. And don’t forget to add 1 tsp fish curry powder to it. When masala releases oil, add fried fish and crushed it into the Pan. Add cabbage, potato and salt. Mix them properly and add little water to the cabbage. Now cover it with a lid, and cook till the cabbage and potato became tender. Continue to stir in between. When the curry is done, add garam masala and mix it well. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves. Now your Bandha Kobi Machha Chhenchada is ready to serve.
