When Nawazuddin Siddiqui got dragged by collar on sets for having lunch standing close to lead actors

Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui has emerged as one of the most successful and liked actors in Bollywood. While every struggling actor wishes to work with Salman, Shah Rukh, and Aamir Khan like A-listed actors; Nawaz has already worked with the trio and has even proven himself as a lead actor. 

Movie lovers are well aware of the struggling days of Nawaz. Though he worked in several movies starring A-listed actors, his presence was neglected until Gangs of Wasseypur. Since then, Nawaz has been winning the hearts of all with his versatility and bunch of memorable roles.

Here we bring a shocking fact from his struggling days. 

During an interview with BBC Hindi, Nawaz revealed the time when he got misbehaved on the sets for over thousands of times. Recalling the time, Nawaz said that when he asked water to the spot boy on any shooting sets, they would ignore him. Later, he used to fetch the water himself.

Nawaz was quoted as saying, ”A lot of productions here segregate the cast and crew during meal times. Junior artists eat separately, the supporting artists have their own space, and the main leads are also separated.”

Further, he added, “On some productions, and I have to credit Yash Raj Films for also doing this, everybody eats together. But a lot of production houses make divisions. I would often try to eat where the main leads were eating, but I’d be dragged out by the collar.” 

“I was ego-driven, and I would get angry; I thought actors should be given more respect. And sometimes they’d let me through,” he said.

While Nawaz is in the headlines for his latest release Jogira Sara Ra Ra and for his separation and legal battle with his estranged wife, recently, reports are abuzz that Aaliya has moved on with her life. 

Sharing a picture on Instagram with her beau, she penned a long post reading: It has taken over 19 years to get out of the relationship that I treasured. But in my life, my children’s are my priority, they were always and will be. However, there are few relationships that are bigger than and beyond friendship, and this relationship is the same relationship and I am very happy about the same hence shared my happiness with you all.
