Shraddha Kapoor faces backlash for buying diesel-guzzling Lamborghini; here's why

The pictures of Shraddha Kapoor posing with her latest swanky car Lamborghini were all over the web yesterday. The actress was spotted driving the red beast to a temple in Mumbai and doing the puja according to rituals and as guided by a priest. Most of her fans have congratulated the actress for her new luxurious investment, but a few environmentalists have slammed her as a hypocrite.

And they have a strong reason for saying so. In 2019, the Bollywood actress was one of the leading celebrity protestors who protested against the cutting down of trees in the Aarey Colony of Mumbai for developing a metro car shed.

It was a call to save the environment and not only Shraddha many other prominent people protested against this action.

And now Shraddha Kapoor has gone all out to purchase a sleek 4-crore Lamborghini that is known for taking up a lot of fuel. Rather luxurious vehicles like Lamborghini are known as guzzling diesel in large quantities and hence are certainly not good for the environment.

The actress already has an impressive collection of elite luxury cars including Mercedes-Benz ML, Audi Q7, BMW 7 series, Mercedes-Benz GLA, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Toyota Fortuner, Swift, and others.

The fuel efficiency of her new Lamborghini Huracan Tecnica is 7 kilometers per liter which is very low. Incidentally, that is the fuel efficiency on highways. But when the car is driven in a city like Mumbai which is known for its heavy traffic jams the fuel efficiency gets a dent as it reduces to 3 to 4 kilometers per liter.

Even most of the other luxury cars that Shraddha Kapoor owns are not fuel-efficient. Now netizens are thinking that her protest against the tree cutting in October 2019 was nothing but a sham as she has failed to apply the same thought process when it comes to her personal life.
