Everyone’s favourite ‘Student of the Year’ Varun Dhawan is fervently expanding his cinematic repertoire. After the poor reception of his last movie ‘Bawaal’, he has signed a couple of movies for a 2024 release.
In an intriguing twist, he has reportedly joined forces with Karan Johar’s production house, ‘Dharma Productions’ to play the villain in a film tentatively titled ‘Deadly’. What’s more interesting is that action star Tiger Shroff is playing the lead role in ‘Deadly’.
This means Varun Dhawan will clash with Tiger Shroff in the film. Furthermore, the stunning Janhvi Kapoor is reportedly in talks to play the female lead opposite Tiger Shroff. If reports are to be believed, Good Newwz and Jug Jugg Jeeyo director Raj Mehta has been roped in to direct the upcoming film.
If there is any truth in the reports, then it would be a ‘deadly’ combo of Tiger Shroff and Varun Dhawan. However, Dharma Production is yet to make an official confirmation in this regard.
On the other hand, the latest reports suggest that Janhvi Kapoor has replaced Alia Bhatt in the Dulhania franchise.
Amidst the reports, Karan Johar shared a cryptic post and wrote, “Every morning I wake up to the news that is not an official confirmation by Dharma Productions… would request members of the media to please not conjecture about the continuance of a franchise or the beginning of one! We will give details when the time and plans are formulated and fructified! We are humbled by the excitement shown to our future films but would love to have accuracy instead of speculations…Respectfully, Karan Johar.”
On the professional front, Tiger Shroff is gearing up for the release of ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ with Akshay Kumar. Varun Dhawan, on the other hand, will be seen in Bhediya 2, Citadel India and the remake of Tamil movie ‘Theri’.
Janhvi Kapoor has Jr. NTR’s ‘Devara, Mr and Mrs. Mahi with Rajkummar Rao and Ulajh with Gulshan Devaiah.
