PS I: Chiyaan Vikram's fiery speech ensures Chola architecture gets much deserved attention #Watch

Mani Ratnam-directed PS I is being promoted aggressively by its leading stars including Chiyaan Vikram, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Trisha Krishnan, and more. During one such promotion, Vikram fiercely spoke about the Chola dynasty in the South and how they immensely contributed to bringing a new era of development and progress in the social, economic, and cultural fields during those times.

While comparing the Pyramids of Giza and Leaning Tower of Pisa with the Chola architecture the Tamil superstar said, “We are actually taking a picture that is falling and saying let us take a picture but we have temples today that stand and they did not use plaster. Do you know that to use this particular stone, they had to use a ramp 6 km long pulled by elephants, people, and bulls to get it up there at the top without any machinery, cranes, or anything?”

Importantly, they did not have any plaster, but still, the Chola-built temple withstood six earthquakes. Vikram explained the magnificence of the structure and the high level of intelligence, planning, and creativity used to construct the Brihadisvara Temple which has helped it remain unaffected for centuries.

Tamil fans of Vikram have lauded the superstar for supporting the monument which now is one of UNESCO’s World Heritage Sites.

Coming back to the movie, Ponniyin Selvan I is getting tremendous responses both in India and abroad. While it is expected to be a big success in Tamil Nadu and other Southern states, the presence of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and her stunning pictures from the movie have already drawn the big interest of Bollywood fans. Importantly, whenever the trio of Mani Ratnam, Aishwarya, and A R Rahman joined hands, they always impressed the audience.

And this time too, PS I is expected to fulfill all the expectations.
