Promotions are an important part of a movie’s release nowadays. Be it Bollywood or Tollywood, there are special event management companies and PR agencies that work in the backdrop to ensure a grand show with the lead stars, directors, and other team members who interact with the press as well as the audience. As per their fame, name, and star value, these stars are surrounded by their bouncers, and security teams and are expected to reach at least a couple of hours late at the venue than the given time.
But the team of Ponniyin Selvan I surprised everyone. The star cast of legendary director Mani Ratnam’s dream project a couple of days ago was present at the pre-release event of the movie at the JRC Convention Center in Hyderabad. Famous Tollywood producer Dil Raju is behind the Telugu release of Ponniyin Selvan I.

Surprisingly, all the star cast including Trisha Krishnan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Karthi, Sarathkumar Vikram, Jayam Ravi, and Vikram Prabhu came to the event just before 7 pm and the pre-release event started sharply at the scheduled time and was over by 9 pm. This dedication as well as a sense of timing among the star cast surprised the audience who were expecting the stars to come a couple of hours late. Many times the announcement of the arrival of these stars has to be made several times, step by step and finally they reach after keeping the audience waiting.

Another thing that surprised the audience and those present at the event was the absence of bouncers. None of these actors were surrounded by the security guards or bouncers; neither there was the mad rush that triggers the moment big stars set their foot at the event place. To top it all the way Aishwarya Rai Bachchan took the names of almost everyone contributing to the making of the movie during the pre-release event once again showing that those who are really big know the importance of working as a team.

So not only Tollywood but the event set an example for the entire film industry of India including Bollywood how superstars should behave during promotional events.
