Dancer and Bollywood actress Nora Fatehi has reportedly filed a defamation case against Jacqueline Fernandez. Nora has alleged that Jacqueline made the 'defamatory imputations due to malicious reasons'.

In her plea, Nora has claimed, "Jacqueline Fernandes sought to criminally defame the complainant in order to destroy her career to further her own interests, since they are both working in the same industry and have similar backgrounds, amongst other reasons."

Nora has also alleged that she lost out on shows and brand deals after Jacqueline took her name in the case. She has further claimed that the media trial is ruining her reputation.

Earlier today, Jacqueline appeared before Delhi's Patiala House court in connection with the Rs 200 crore money laundering case involving conman Sukesh Chandrasekhar.

On November 24, the Delhi court had adjourned the matter for December 12 hearing after the prosecution sought time to prepare arguments on the point of charge.

Today, the Patiala House Court adjourned the hearing on the matter till December 20.

Jacqueline was earlier granted relief on a personal bond of Rs 2 lakh on the condition that she would not leave the country without the court’s prior permission. The actress was also directed to join the probe as and when asked by the Enforcement Directorate (ED).
