There are only a few movies one would not get bored no matter how many times you watch. Versatile director Imtiaz Ali’s ‘Jab We Met’ starring the evergreen pair of Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor, is such film.
Even after decades of its release, the cult film is still one of the most loved and is still fresh in the minds of everyone. Starting from the dialogues, scenes to the scenes, everything is just so perfect and is still fresh in everyone’s heart, mind and soul.
Imagine the makers coming up with its sequel – Jab We Met 2. Well, you read that right! The makers of Jab We Met have decided to come up with its sequel and it will also be directed by Imtiaz Ali himself, who helmed the first part.
A few days ago, Shahid Kapoor had dropped hints about the possible sequel after a fan asked him about his frequent meetings with the director.
“I’ve noticed that you and Imtiaz Ali have been interacting a lot recently! Is there any project in the works?” the fan asked.
Giving a hint, Shahid replied, “smart boy”.
Fresh reports suggest, Ashtavinayak’s proprietor Raj Mehta will flag off the sequel. Not only this, Imtiaz Ali, who is the director of the original part is also rumoured to direct the second part too. Although, there is no official confirmation, Shahid and Kareena will reunite for the sequel and reprise their iconic roles as Aditya and Geet.
While there has been no confirmation, it will be interesting to see ex-lovers Shahid and Kareena reunite for the epic love story.
Worth mentioning, Jab We Met was re-released in theatres on the occasion of Valentine’s Day this year and received lots of love from the audience.
On the work front, Shahid was last seen in Bloddy Daddy while Kareena made her OTT debut with Sujoy Ghosh’s thriller Jaane Jaan.
