NTR31 gets a title! Prashanth Neel obtains 'Dragon' for Jr NTR from Karan Johar?
The humongous success of Yash, Sanjay Dutt, Raveena Tandon and Srinidhi Shetty-starrer KGF: Chapter 2 paved the way for filmmaker Prashanth Neel to tap globally. Even his next Salaar, starring Prabhas and Shruti Haasan scripted box office records. The earlier announcement of Neel teaming up with Jr NTR thrilled the fans. While earlier it was tentatively titled #NTR31, the movie has reportedly got the title Dragon.
As per the latest exclusive report by Pinkvilla, Neel and Jr NTR's maiden collaboration is tentatively titled Dragon.
The entertainment portal quoted a close source to the development as saying, "While they got the title Dragon in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam, the same was registered with Karan Johar in Hindi. It took a simple two-minute conversation with Karan for him to part ways with the title for Neel and NTR.”
Notably, KJo was the first filmmaker to collaborate with other filmmakers from across the country and got involved in some way, be it distribution or music release. Following the release of RRR, KJo was in talks with Jr NTR for various projects, including Brahmastra 2. Finally, it happened in Devara and KJo will be presenting the Kortala Siva directorial in Hindi.
If the report is anything to go by, the original title for Brahmastra was Dragon back in 2014. However, Karan parted ways with the title and as a goodwill gesture from the filmmaker's end, there will be no monetary exchange for the same.
Reportedly, Neel and his team are yet to figure out the shooting timeline of NTR 31 tentatively titled Dragon as Neel is committed to shooting for Salaar 2.
A couple of days ago, Malayalam actor Prithviraj Sukumaran dropped a major hint on the 'unexpected crossover' of Salaar 2. Though it is yet to be confirmed officially, several fans speculate that it might be KGF: Chapter 3. However, some others speculate that it might be NTR 31.
Be it KGF Chapter 3 or Dragon, the major hint has thrilled moviegoers and moviegoers are eagerly waiting for an official confirmation.
