A man from Ghatkopar filed a complaint against 'Animal' actor Ranbir Kapoor for chanting 'Jai Mata Di' while cutting a cake as the Kapoor family celebrated Merry Christmas together. In his complaint, the man accused Ranbir of hurting religious sentiments. However, no FIR has been registered in the case yet.

The man identified as Sanjay Tiwari filed the complaint at Ghatkopar police station through his lawyers Ashish Rai and Pankaj Mishra.

"Ranbir Kapoor is seen pouring liquor on the cake and later setting it on fire while chanting 'Jai Mata Di'. This is not acceptable. In Hinduism, fire god is invoked before invoking other deities, but Ranbir Kapoor and his family members deliberately used intoxicants while celebrating the festival of another religion and chanted 'Jai Mata Di'" the complaint stated.

No comments could be obtained from Ranbir or his family members in this connection.

On the work front, Ranbir is currently basking on the stupendous success of his last release 'Animal'. The action drama's success has given a major boost to Ranbir's career graph. He has given two hits in the form of 'Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar' and 'Animal'. He is yet to announce his next project.
