Harry Potter fame actor Tom Felton joins Hansal Mehta's 'Gandhi' series Hansal Mehta's upcoming series, 'Gandhi,' has been generating significant excitement since its announcement.

The project, focused on the iconic Indian leader, is now set to feature notable talent, adding to the anticipation. Pratik Gandhi and his wife Bhamini Oza are set to portray the roles of Gandhi and Kasturba Gandhi, respectively.

Recently, Mehta revealed that Tom Felton, famous for his role in the Harry Potter series, has joined the cast in a special role.

According to Deadline, Felton will play Josiah Oldfield, Gandhi’s close friend during his time in London studying law. Felton expressed his enthusiasm for the project, highlighting the importance of portraying Gandhi’s early years in London, a story yet untold on screen.

Adding to the excitement, Tom Felton shared, "I’m excited to be part of the journey of telling the story of Gandhi’s early years in London,” said Felton. “It’s an important aspect of history that hasn’t been told on screen before, and to be working with Hansal and Pratik is an honour and pleasure.” Felton is known for his role as Draco Malfoy in the Harry Potter movies.

Mehta, known for acclaimed films like "Shahid" and "Chhalaang," is directing the series. Fans have eagerly awaited his portrayal of Gandhi's life, and the project recently began filming, with the first schedule taking place in Gujarat.

The series promises to capture Gandhi’s world authentically, with production spanning various Indian and international locations. The team shared glimpses of the set on social media, marking the beginning of this historical journey.
