Bobby Deol imagined Sunny Deol's death to get this key scene in Animal right

Bobby Deol played the character of Abrar in Animal to the hilt. Although he had a much smaller screen time than Ranbir Kapoor and Anil Kapoor, the Gupt actor gave an impactful performance. There is one moment in this Sandeep Reddy Vanga movie where Bobby aka Abrar loses his brother and gets extremely emotional after receiving the news.

It was a tough and very important scene in the flick. Bobby Deol said, “When I was doing the scene in the film, it was about a brother who has lost his brother… As actors, we use incidents in our lives to bring that emotion. We have a bank full of them.” For Bobby, his brother Sunny Deol means the world, and hence to get the emotions right he imagined that his real brother Sunny had died and that is how he emoted the scene so effectively.

Bobby Deol revealed that they did the shot in one take and everyone on the set was impressed. Even the director of Animal was impressed and said to the actor that it was an award-winning shot. However, his mother who saw the movie was in tears as in the end, Bobby’s character dies and even asked him not to do such movies.

The Bollywood actor surprised everyone recently when he said that a scene where he kissed Ranbir Kapoor was deleted from Animal and hopefully, it might be added to the OTT version. This news has created new hype and fans will now eagerly wait for Animal to hit the OTT platform Netflix in the early months of 2024.
