Kalki 2898 AD: Prabhas as Bhairava teases, 'Yeh bhi ek yudh hai...' watch

Nag Ashwin's upcoming sci-fi movie Kalki 2898 AD is one of the highly anticipated movies that fans are eagerly waiting for. The excitement reached the zenith after the makers recently revealed Amitabh Bachchan's character in the movie. After getting a glimpse of Prabhas as Bhairava and Deepika Padukone's first look, fans were elated to see BigB as the Immortal Ashwatthama. While everyone is eagerly waiting for Kamal Haasan's character revelation, on Tuesday, the makers teased a surprise for fans during the ongoing IPL 2024 match between Mumbai Indians (MI) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG).

During the match, Rebel Star Prabhas aka Bhairava made a surprise entry to announce the 'Maha Match' of IPL 2024.
The clip shows Darling Prabhas entering the frame in his Bhairava avatar. He says, "Yeh bhi eke yudh hai. Sansein tham lo. Yeh IPL ka 'Maha Match' hai. Kal ke liye, aaj khelo."

Bhairava's announcement was about the much-awaited Mumbai Indians (MI) Vs Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) match, scheduled on May 3.

Meanwhile, the surprise from the makers received mixed responses. While fans of the Baahubali actor seem to be mesmerised, several others were disheartened. Probably, after the announcement by the makers earlier today, everyone was expecting a major update on the film. However, Bhairava aka Prabhas' IPL promotion move didn't go down well with many.

Fans demanded the makers to drop updates on the movie instead of such promotional stunts. However, fans are all hearts after getting a glimpse of their matinee idol.

Notably, the makers recently locked the release date of Kalki 2898 AD. The movie will be released worldwide on June 27, 2024. The movie also stars Disha Patani in a pivotal role.
