Divorce with Arbaaz Khan

Malaika and Arbaaz dated for a few years before tying the knot. The cultural difference between them did not affect their then-happily married life. They even did a show for matchmaking on television as Arbaaz and Malaika were considered an ideal, hot couple in those days. That is why when they announced divorce after more than a decade of marriage it shocked everyone.

Malaika even revealed in one of her interviews that she was advised not to go ahead with it but she stood firm on her decision because she felt that was the right thing to do.

Dropped Khan surname

Shortly, after separating from Arbaaz she dropped the Khan surname and returned to her maiden name Malaika Arora. Arbaaz is the younger brother of Salman Khan and the son of the famous Bollywood writer Salim Khan.
