After Gadar 2’s success, these movies of Sunny Deol will hit the big screen

Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel starrer Gadar 2 has been on a roll since the day of its release. The long-awaited sequel to 2001 blockbuster Gadar: Ek Prem Katha is on a rampage at the box office.

According to industry tracker Sacnilk’s early estimates, Gadar 2 registered its biggest single-day haul yet on Independence Day, when it collected Rs 55 crore.

The resounding success of "Gadar 2" paves a promising pathway for Sunny Deol's upcoming film ventures.

Baap: Bollywood’s biggest action heroes of the 80s and 90s—Mithun Chakraborty, Sanjay Dutt, Sunny Deol and Jackie Shroff—will be back together in this Vivek Chauhan directorial.

Soorya: The official Hindi remake of the Malayalam crime thriller 'Joseph', will see Sunny Deol in a cop role. The film will be directed by M. Padmakumar, who helmed the original too.

Apne 2: A sequel to the 2007 film Apne was officially announced way back in 2020. Sunny after the success of Gadar 2 on record has said that they have a script for the movie. He said, “Apne ki kahani hai mere pas hai… dekhte hai aage jake kab shuru karenge aur bohot hi pyari kahani hai iss waqt jo Apne ki humare pas hai wohi family values hai jo the ussi chiz ki extension hai.”

Janmbhoomi: The movie is based on the infamous Ram Mandir Trial. The film will see Sunny and Sanjay Dutt together again after Baap. Reportedly, the stars will be seen playing lawyers on the opposite side.

A project with R Balki: After working with R Balki in Chup, Sunny will reportedly reunite with him for an untitled project also starring Revathy and Shruti Hassan.

Rumours mills are also abuzz that Sunny Deol might reunite with Rajkumar Santoshi for Fateh Singh after giving blockbusters like Ghayal, Damini and Ghatak.
