The Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) will announce the much awaited results of the Plus II offline examination today.

Around 13,043 students, who were not satisfied with the marks awarded to them through alternative assessment system, had registered for the offline examination.

The offline Plus II examinations were held between October 1 and October 11, 2021.

It is pertinent to mention here that the students, who had appeared in the offline examination, had alleged that they were unable to take admission in Plus 3 courses due to the inordinate delay in the announcement of results.

On June 4, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik had announced cancellation of Plus II examinations conducted by the Council Of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) in view of the Covid-19 pandemic situation. CHSE had subsequently announced the Plus II results based on a well-defined objective criteria to award marks after thorough consultations with experts.

The CHSE had subsequently announced the results of Commerce and Science streams on July 31, 2021, as per the Apex Court order. A total of 94,532 students including 78, 8 99 regular candidates had enrolled for the Plus II examination in the Science stream this year. Out of them, 89, 951 students cleared the Board examination in Science stream. The total pass percentage in Science stream stood at 95.15 percent.

In the Commerce stream, 24,526 students including 21,996 regular candidates had enrolled to appear in the Plus II examinations. Of the total students, 23,292 students have passed in the Commerce stream. The total pass percentage this year in Commerce stream was 94.96 per cent.

On August 14, the results of Plus 2 Arts and Vocational courses were announced. A total of 2, 20,081 students including 1,89, 363 regular students had appeared in the Plus 2 Arts stream. Out of them, 1,96, 959 students including 1,86,685 regular students have passed in the Arts stream this year. The total pass percentage stands at 89.49 percent.
