Vital clue in WB girl student missing case; Bhubaneswar GRP seeks help of local police

The Bhubaneswar Government Railway Police (GRP) has got vital clues in the mysterious disappearance of a girl student of West Bengal from Bhubaneswar railway station.

As per reports, Sweety’s presence has been traced to Chitpur in West Bengal. A love affair is suspected to be the reason behind the girl’s disappearance from Bhubaneswar Railway Station. However, no confirmation has been recieved in this connection.

From CCTV camera, it has been ascertained that a male friend was accompanying Sweety on the Bhubaneswar railway station platform. However, a detailed investigation is currently underway to trace the girl student.

The Bhubaneswar GRP officials have sought assistance from Chitpur police in locating the girl based on the location of her mobile phone.

It is pertinent to mention here that the 20-year-old girl had allegedly gone missing soon after deboarding at Bhubaneswar railway station on June 23.

Sweety had reportedly reached Bhubaneswar from Howrah in Jansatbdi Express. She reportedly had called her mother after deboarding at Bhubaneswar railway station. However, the family could not contact her subsequently as her mobile phone was switched off.

Later, the girl’s family friend had lodged a formal missing complaint with the GRP Bhubaneswar.

Sweety, who hails from North 24 Parganas (West Bengal), was a second year student of Utkal Aerospace & Engineering College at Khandagiri area in Bhubaneswar.
