Once again miscreants have allegedly looted cash from an Automated Teller Machine (ATM) in Odisha. This time, the miscreants have targeted an ATM of the State Bank of India (SBI) at Padmapur haat under Haldipada outpost in Balasore district.

As per the initial reports, three unidentified miscreants entered the ATM kiosk and decamped with the cash. Sources said cash around Rs 32 lakh has been stolen from the ATM. However, the bank authorities are yet to make any official statement.

The robbers looted the cash by cutting the machine with the help of a gas cutter last night. Soon after the matter came to light, senior police officials reached the spot and started further investigation in this connection. Forensic and other technical experts have also been roped in to carry out an extensive investigation in connection with the ATM loot incident.

It is pertinent to mention here that miscreants had uprooted an ATM with the help of a stolen vehicle at Lingipur Housing Board Colony area under Dhauli police limits in Bhubaneswar on April 5. Around Rs 20-25 lakh was allegedly stolen from the ATM.
