Bhadrak Police Encounter: Notorious Criminal Bapi Critical, 3 Cops Injured

Dreaded criminal Bapi Pani was nabbed by a special team of Bhadrak police following an exchange of fire on Saturday. Bapi, who has sustained two bullet injuries in the encounter, has been admitted to the district headquarters hospital in a critical condition.

As per reports, three police personnel, including the Inspector-in-charge of Bhadrak Rural Police Station, have also sustained injuries in the encounter.

They are stated to be stable. Sources said that a police team had conducted a raid at Chadeiya area on the basis of an input regarding the presence of some anti-socials who had assembled to commit a dacoity.

Upon noticing the police team, notorious criminal Bapi opened fire. Later, he sustained two bullet injuries on his right leg after the police team fired back in retaliation. Meanwhile, three police personnel have also sustained injury in the tussle with  the criminal.
