Mumbai: President Pratibha Patil, who witnessed the thrilling cricket World Cup final, on Sunday hosted a "high tea" function here in honour of victorious Team India.

Captain M S Dhoni and his boys reached Raj Bhavan for their first official welcome ceremony to celebrate the team`s victory in the World Cup final after 28 years.

Maharashtra Governor K Sankaranarayanan, Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan and senior state ministers are attending the event.

President Patil watched the World Cup final held at Wankhede Stadium here yesterday with her Sri Lankan counterpart M Rajapaksa. India defeated Sri Lanka by 6 wickets in the final.
