Water gushed in and destroyed acres of farmland in Ektaguda area under Koraput district after a breach in the embankment of the main canal of the upper Kolab dam. Locals first noticed cracks on the canal embankment late on the Friday evening. Later, the cracks started getting wider with erosion of the base resulting in the formation of a 50-60 ft long-breach.
