Chicago: Bollywood star Tabu has been honoured by Indo-American Center (IAC) for her contribution to cinema.

IAC hosted a reception and dinner in the honour of the actress, known for her power-packed performances in films like `Astitva`, `Chandni Bar` and `Maqbool`.

Tabu, 40, was also honored by Hindi Lovers` Club who presented a shawl and a plaque to her during her visit to the Center. The actress is here as the part of Eye on India festival, which runs from July 8-17.

A film retrospective of the actress was held at the festival, which included the screening of `Chandni Bar`.
