Robert Pattinson becomes godfather

London: Twilight star Robert Pattinson has reportedly become a godfather after his pal Tom Sturridge`s sister Matilda gave birth to a son.

The 25-year-old actor has been close friends with fellow actor Sturridge and his family since his days at London`s Harrodian School and Pattinson was asked to take on the new responsibility earlier this month, Daily Star reported.

Pattinson, who is said to be dating his Twilight co-star Kristen Stewart, accepted the honour and celebrated the new arrival during a double date with Sturridge and his girlfriend actress Sienna Miller during a night out.

"The two couples looked happy as they enjoyed drinks at the Groucho Club," said a source
