High drama unfolded ahead of the match between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) against Mumbai Indians (MI) at the Eden Gardens on Saturday in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL).

On the eve of the game, a clip posted by the KKR social media handle triggered speculation about former MI captain Rohit Sharma’s retirement from the cash-rich league after this edition. However, KKR deleted the clip later.

In the deleted clip, Rohit was found having a candid chat with old friend Abhishek Nayar. During the chat, Rohit explains the dressing-room scenario of MI. As per Rohit, the team that he built is no more the same during Hardik Pandya’s captaincy.

During the last few seconds of the clip, Rohit claimed that this could be his last year at the IPL. The 37-year old is the most successful captain in the history of the league, winning IPL titles five times.

Here is the chat between Rohit and Nayar.

Chat - Rohit to Nayar "Ek ek cheez change ho rha hai!,, Wo unke upar hai,,, Jo bhi hai wo mera ghar hai bhai, wo temple mene banwaya hai" !

Last line - "Bhai mera kya mera to ye last hai".

Now, KKR have deleted that chatting video of Rohit Sharma and Abhishek Nayar.

Coming back to the match prospect, rain may play spoilsport during the game as per IMD predictions.
