The connection between Amitabh Bachchan and Kolkata is quite well known. His wife Jaya Bhaduri Bachchan is from the City of Joy. Also, he himself used to work in the city before joining the film industry.
In his recent post, the superstar paid a tribute to the city in a unique way. Earlier today he shared a picture of Goddess Kali that includes various important things that can be considered as an identity of Kolkata. Big B even described the context and meaning of each symbol used in the picture.

Amitabh Bachchan Felt Extremely Proud When Poland Decided to Name a Square After His Father
A day ago the Sholay actor shared a proud moment from his personal life. Poland decided to name a street in the city of Wroclaw after AB's father Harivansh Rai Bachchan. The superstar shared this news on his social media account and wrote, "प्रबिसि नगर कीजे सब काजा। हृदयँ राखि कोसलपुर राजा॥' .. ~ रामचरितमानस , सुंदर कांड भावार्थ अयोध्यापुरी के राजा श्री रघुनाथजी को हृदय में रखे हुए नगर में प्रवेश करके सब काम कीजिए। City of Wroclaw, Poland, to name a square after Babuji."

As is known Harivansh Rai Bachchan is one of the biggest names in Indian literature. He received the highest Indian award for literature Saraswati Samman for his autobiography. Incidentally, in 2019, UNESCO named Wroclaw the City of Literature.
The University of Wroclaw (earlier Breslau University) is renowned the world over for its high quality of teaching. It has produced 9 Nobel Prize laureates and is hence regarded in high esteem across the world. That is why it is a moment of pride and joy for Amitabh Bachchan and all Indians.
