Kaun Banega Crorepati 12 is back and is winning the hearts of millions as usual. Yesterday the game started with Jaswinder Singh Cheema who quit the game after winning Rs. 12,40,000. And then it was the turn of Abanti Mohanty Das from Odisha who was the quickest in the fastest finger and qualified for the hot seat opposite Amitabh Bachchan.

As is usually the process on KBC, Amitabh Bachchan introduced the new contestant followed by her video. The clip revealed Abanti scolding her husband for being on his mobile constantly. She also was seen eating her meal while her mother-in-law served her.
Abanti who is a post-graduate in English literature is currently living with her in-laws in a village while her husband works in Bhubaneshwar.
She complained that her husband does not take her call. And even if he does pick it up, he asks why did you call me. While revealing the story of her marriage to Amitabh Bachchan on Kaun Banega Crorepati 12, Abanti said, "Ours is a love marriage. Before marriage, my husband used to call me 70 to 80 times a day. But now he rarely calls. So when I asked him why you do not call me nowadays like earlier, he says 'machali pakadne ka baad jaal kaun dalta hai?"

Abanti also complained that her husband never appreciates her.
Amitabh Bachchan could not stop himself from laughing. But on Abanti's request, he asked Abanti's husband Prashant Kumar Das to call his wife at least a few times in a day. The superstar further said in his message to Prashant Kumar that he should appreciate Abanti which can make their life happier.

The contestant from Odisha also revealed how her parents picked names of their daughters that rhyme in the same way. While a sister elder than her is named Jayanti, her younger sister is named Damayanti. When Big B asked her whether her name bothers her, Abanti said, "No. But I like it when my friends call me AB." To this Amitabh replied, "Aap bhi AB mein bhi AB."
