Tollywood Icon star Allu Arjun's popularity has transcended borders and gained him global recognition following the staggering success and craze for Pushpa: The Rise. Now, the fanbase of the actor sprawls across the globe. Fans are waiting for Pushpa 2: The Rule with high excitement. While it is speculated that Pushpa 2 will be a blockbuster release this year, the sequel is in exceptional demand across all distribution platforms much before its release. Meanwhile, the spotlight is on the makers, who are all set to generate significant revenue. And, it has started to reflect on the remuneration of Bunny. The Icon star has reportedly hiked his fees by 30%.

As per reports, recently Pushpa 2 set new records with its digital rights sale. If the reports are to be believed, Netflix has acquired the digital rights for Pushpa 2: The Rule in a groundbreaking deal worth Rs 250 crore. Given that, the deal surpassed previous records by a significant margin. Earlier, the record was held by SS Rajamouli's RRR at Rs 170 crore.

As per the latest report by Hindustan Times, Allu Arjun has become one of the most talked about actors in the industry and every filmmaker wants to collaborate with him. And, this has led to a hike in the fees of the DJ actor.

HT quoted a close source as saying, "At the moment, Allu Arjun is the most talked about actor in the industry, with almost every filmmaker expressing their desire to collaborate with him. That’s because they are witnessing the buzz around the sequel of Pushpa. And it has led to a hike in the salary that Allu Arjun will draw from his project that’s set to release on the Independence Day weekend.”

As per the source, the Arya actor generally charges Rs 100 crore for a film. However, it is now expected that he will charge Rs 150 crore. The source added that down in the South film industry, giving such a huge amount to lead actors is becoming quite common. The salary of an actor is a major and significant part of the movie's budget, the source added.

As per reports, Pushpa 2: The Rule is made on a budget of Rs 500 crore and the makers have sold the theatrical rights in North India at a whopping amount of Rs 200 crore and the digital rights at Rs 250 crore.

However, the source suggests that Allu Arjun is in no rush to cash in on the buzz.

The source added, "He has signed on his next project with Jawan director Atlee and will begin work on that after the release of Pushpa 2, also starring Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil. He has no other film in the pipeline and doesn’t want to take too much on his plate. He wants to put all his energy into one project with full dedication. That’s the reason he has not initiated any conversation around signing a Bollywood project as well.”

However, the actor's team couldn't be reached to confirm the buzz about his fee hike. Fans need to wait for an official announcement for the same.
