Mumbai: Actor Ajay Devgn, who would be seen in the remake version of 'Himmatwala', got nostalgic while working on the film.

'Himmatwala' is an upcoming action romantic film directed by Sajid Khan. The film features Ajay Devgn opposite southern actress Tamannaah in the lead roles.

It is an official remake of the 1983 Hindi blockbuster of the same name, which itself was a remake of a Telugu film 'Ooriki Monagadu' of 1981. The 1983 'Himmatwala' had Jeetendra and Sridevi in the lead.

The first-look of Sajid Khan's remake version of the yesteryear film was unveiled on Thursday at Gaiety Galaxy theatre in suburban Bandra.

"It was nostalgic during this film. As the film is set in 80s, it did remind me of my earlier movies when I had started in the industry. Then I had gone on the sets of 'Himmatwala' as my father was action director for that movie. I had also come to single screen theatre Gaiety Galaxy to see the reaction of the audience for my debut film 'Phool aur Kante'," Ajay told reporters here.

"The film will have Ajay stepping in the role of Jeetendra. "We have not tried to copy anyone. I have worn white shirt and pants but not white shoes," Ajay said.

Ajay and Tamannaah shot the famous song 'Taki O Taki Re' in Jaipur, while the the team shot 'Tathaiya Tathaiya' song in Mumbai.

"Dancing is difficult for me than acting. It stresses me out," Ajay said.

However, director Sajid Khan said, "Ajay dances like a superstar."

The film, jointly produced by UTV Motion Pictures and Vashu Bhagnani, is set to release on March 29 this year.
