UGC NET December 2019: The online registration process for UGC National Eligibility Test (NET) December exam 2019 started on September 9, 2019. The process will continue till October 9, 2019 while the application fees can be paid till October 10, 2019. Candidates can apply online for the UGC NET December 2019 at the official website of UGC-ugcnet.nta.nic.in

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will be conducting the NET Exam from December 2 to 6, 2019. Similarly, the UGC NET June exam will be conducted from June 15 to 20, 2020 and registration process for the same will begin from March 16, 2020.

Changes In The Application Process Of UGC NET December 2019

At a time when the online application has already started, candidates have surely noticed the big change in the process. This time, the NTA has hiked the application fee for all categories of candidates by almost 25 per cent.

The candidates under general category who paid Rs 800 as application fee for UGC NET June 2019 will now have to pay Rs 1,000. Similarly, the application fee for OBC/ Economically Weaker Section (EWS) candidates has also been increased from Rs 400 to Rs 500 and for SC/ ST/ PwD/ Transgender category candidates, it has been hiked to Rs 250 from Rs 200.

Step- 1: Visit the official website, ntanet.nic.in and click on ‘UGC NET 2019 December registration’

Step- 2: You will be redirected to a new page where you have to fill all the asked details

Step- 3: Log-in now using the newly created registration number

Step- 4: Fill the form, upload pic and signature & download

Step- 5: Make the payment and submit

Candidates are advised to keep their registration number and password carefully for downloading the admit card of NTA UGC NET 2019 exam.

About NTA

The NTA has been established by Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) as an independent/autonomous, self-reliant and self-sustained premier testing organisation. The conduct of the UGC-NET examination has been entrusted to the NTA by UGC and MHRD, Government of India.

The NTA conducts the UGC-NET exam to determine the eligibility of candidates for the eligibility for Assistant Professor only or Junior Research Fellowship and eligibility for Assistant Professor both in various Indian universities and colleges.

UGC NET 2019 Exam Pattern

The test will comprise two papers- Paper I and Paper II and the duration for each papers is 3 hours. The examination will held in two shifts. The first shift is from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm while the second shift from 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm.

The Paper I comprises 100 marks and will have 50 questions while Paper II will be of 200 marks with 100 questions. The Test will be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode only.
