Bhubaneswar: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will conduct the Class 12 exam from February. While the Board has come up with several changes, it has now decided to introduce Python language in the Class 12 Computer Science exam from the academic year 2019.

With the introduction of this, students can get an option to attempt questions on either C++ or Python language.

In its recent release, CBSE said that the questions on Python has been kept optional as a few schools have the chapter on this language in the academic year 2017-19. The Computer Science exam is scheduled to be held on March 28.

“In order to enable the students offering Computer Science irrespective of the programming language to appear for the Class 12 examination in 2019, the CBSE will administering, the question papers in the subject of Computer Science on the basis of 2018 having sections i.e. C++ and Python and candidates be directed to attempt any one section,” read a release of the Board.

The Board will conduct the CBSE Class 12 examination from February 15 to April 3, 2019. Meanwhile, students can check the date sheet and the entire schedule on the official website of CBSE.
