Youth Shot Dead For Opposing Drugs Trade In Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: Throwing open challenge for Commissionerate Police, miscreants opened fire at a youth and his father for opposing drugs trade in Sarakantara area on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar on Thursday.

As per reports, three miscreants attacked one Anil and his father Abhimanyu Jena over suspected past rivalry. Though the father-son duo was rushed to AIIMS Bhubaneswar, Anil was declared brought dead by the doctors at the hospital.

Family members alleged that recently Anil had entered into quarrel with a criminal named Bapi who was reportedly carrying out drugs trade in the area.

Three miscreants including prime accused Bapi allegedly opened fired at Anil and later shot his father Abhimanyu who rushed to his rescue after hearing gunshots.

“One of the assailants had covered his face with helmet and another draped his face with a cloth. However, Bapi was standing near a stall and he opened fire at my brother Anil,” said sister of the deceased.
