Miscreants loot cash, valuables from five shops in Khurda

Khurda: After a brief lull, miscreants looted cash and other valuables from five shops located at different places under Khurda Town Police limits late on Friday. It is the first major series loot incident to be reported in the district after a gap of couple of months.

The robbers reportedly looted cash and other articles by breaking locks and shutters of five different shops including two at Mukundaprasad and new bus stand road. However, the exact amount of cash and articles looted from the shops is yet to be ascertained.

Meanwhile, Khurda Town police rushed to the spot after getting information and started investigation into the incident.

Senior police officials informed that the footage of CCTV cameras installed in two shops is being reviewed.
