Minor girl kidnapped, gang raped by robbers in Ganjam

Ganjam: Three miscreants allegedly kidnapped a minor girl and subsequently raped her after looting valuables from her house in Balichhai under Polasara block in Ganjam district late Wednesday night.

The rape survivor was initially admitted to the Polasara hospital and later shifted to MKCG Medical College and Hospital in Berhampur.

According to reports, the three robbers broke open the door and entered the house last night when the entire family including the girl was fast asleep.

Sources said, after looting the valuables from the house, the miscreants kidnapped the girl and took her to a nearby farmland and raped her before fleeing the spot.

Later, family members of the girl rushed to the spot after hearing her scream. They rescued and rushed her to the hospital.

After getting information, police reached to the spot and launched a manhunt to nab the accused.
