Bizman wanted in Gujarat murder case arrested from Bargarh

Bargarh: A special team of Gujarat police today arrested a businessman of Bargarh on charges of involvement in a murder case in the western State.

The accused identified as Tanuj Birmiwal was wanted in murder case registered at Gujarat’s Nosat police station.

As per police reports, in 2010 some miscreants allegedly looted a vehicle and murdered its driver for acting as a witness in a case at Chakali area in Gujarat district. After preliminary probe, police found that Tanuj who hails from Odisha was also one of the prime accused involved in the case.

With the help of its counterparts in Odisha, a special team of Gujarat police tracked Tanuj from Bargarh area. On the basis of reliable information and assistance of local cops, the special police team was successful in arresting Tanuj.

“We have prayed for transit remand before the local court and further action will be taken after the court’s order,” Nosat police station Sub-Inspector P.H Nayi said.
