Woman Constable 'Raped' By Colleague In Odisha

Bhadrak: Almost every day we are coming across stories of innocent girls being subjected to exploitation on the pretext of marriage. The incident of a lady constable being raped and betrayed by his senior has now become the talk of the town in Bhadrak.

According to reports, the lady constable was allegedly raped by his senior colleague who also happens to be a constable.

Sources said both the lady constable and the accused, Jagatpati Hansda were in a love relationship. Hansda allegedly developed physical relationship with the lady constable on the pretext of marriage.

According to sources, the lady constable knocked the doors of justice after Hansda allegedly betrayed her. Based on the complaint filed by the victim at Town Police station, Hansda was arrested on Tuesday.

Hansda has been placed under suspension and further investigation in connection with the incident is underway.
