Girl shoplifting from jewellery store in Bhubaneswar caught on CCTV

Bhubaneswar: Reminiscent of the shoplifting by a lady doctor and her daughter in 2015, another girl was caught on the camera while shoplifting from a jewellery shop in the capital city of Bhubaneswar.

The girl was caught on cam while stealing gold ornaments worth Rs 60,000 from a jewellery shop at busy Rajmahal Square recently. As per the CCTV camera footage, the well-dressed girl is seen stealing some ornaments soon after the owner of the jewellery store goes out of the shop.

“She asked me to show me gold rings weighing between 8 and 12 grams. Soon after I went out of the workshop, she stole two rings from my shop,” said Manoranjan Swain, the shop owner.

Police Commissioner Satyajit Mohanty informed that a case has already been registered by the Capital Police Station and investigation is underway.
