Mumbai: Private sector lender Axis Bank today said it has entered into a partnership with Singapore-based DBS Bank to facilitate money transfer from Singapore to India through AxisRemit Online. AxisRemit Online is the bank`s online money transfer service, which enables NRIs in USA, UK, Singapore, Australia, Euro Zone, UAE, Canada and Hong Kong to send money to any bank account in the country.

"AxisRemit Online has come a long way in the last three years since its launch. Superior money transfer experience has now become a key pillar in service delivery and the tie-up with DBS Bank is a step forward in this direction," Axis Bank Head (Treasury and International Banking) P Mukherjee said in a statement. Through AxisRemit Online facility, a customer of DBS Bank can make payments to any bank account in India within 48 working hours.

"We are committed to playing a strategic role in connecting India with Asia, especially Singapore, which is our home country. This tie-up with Axis Bank to facilitate remittances from Singapore to India is yet another example of fulfilling this commitment. We look forward to providing Axis Bank customers a differentiated, Asian service experience," DBS Bank India Head (Global Transaction Services) Sanjeev Uppal said.
