New Delhi/Bhubaneswar: The Indian Railways is going to have the biggest recruitment drive ever in the history of India’s recruitment process this year.

This Railway Recruitment Board’s (RRB) drive will give jobs to nearly 89, 000 government job aspirants in railway’s Group D and Group C posts this year. Meanwhile, the exam dates for the First Stage CBT is yet to be announced and it is expected that RRB will announce the dates 10-15 days ahead of the scheduled exam.

As per media reports, the CBT for the Group D will be held in August this year but the RRB is yet to confirm the reports.

It is worth mentioning that the brochure of the exam had it mentioned the Group D CBT exam would be conducted in April/May. However, the RRB is yet to release any dates.

Earlier, Times Now had reported citing sources that there could be a further delay likely in the announcement of the exam dates- to late June or early July- due to the huge number of applications being received by the RRB.

The board is meanwhile expected to release the exam dates and the admit cards for the examinations by June/July and the exams will be held in the month of August.

Moreover, the board is expected to release the admit card for the First Stage CBT exam of Group C posts soon as it has received less applications for the same as compared to Group D posts.

The RRB has reportedly received more than 2 crore applications for 89000 vacancies in the national transporter for the Group D and Group C posts.
