The South Central Railway has received an anonymous letter threatening a rail disaster on Hyderabad-Delhi route similar to that which occurred at Odisha's Balasore. The letter received last week by the SCR Divisional Manager Arun Kumar Jain threatened that an Odisha-like rail accident will take place on Hyderabad-Delhi route. The railway officials have informed Hyderabad police about the receipt of the letter.
Starting from October 1, 2023, cars manufactured in India as well as imported ones will be given star rating based on their performance in crash tests, the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways said in a notification.
