In a letter to the Tehsildar, the temple administration has urged to carry out an eviction drive on the land owned by the Holy Trinity. Besides, the SJTA has requested the Tehsildar to probe the possession of 3.5 decimal land of the temple by a private person.

In Odisha, there is a total of 35,000 acres of land in the name of Lord Jagannath. Out of the total, 20,000 acres of land are in Khordha and Puri districts.

A decision regarding the reopening of Ratna Bhandar will be taken in a meeting which is scheduled to be held on September 27.
