Devotees can visit Shree Gundicha temple from the coming Rath Yatra. Ranjan Das, the chief administrator of the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA), informed this on Thursday after a meeting was held in this regard.

“As Srimandir work is near completion, we are going to take up the Shree Gundicha Temple’s developmental work. The kitchen of the temple is in a dilapidated state. Servitors were facing problems. So it will be developed. The place where vegetables are cut and other similar activities are done will be developed. Besides this, the place where people have prasad will also be developed. The path on which deities are taken in pahandi is also to be developed,” said Das.

“Besides the development of the park, a hall is under construction in the park where religious activities can be held all around the year. Since so many projects have been taken up simultaneously, they will take five to six months to complete. It can be termed as the ‘Nabakalebara of Shree Gundicha Temple’,” he added.

Earlier, OTV had telecast a report on Shree Gundicha Temple being closed for devotees for long.
