The decision to reopen the religious institutions has been taken after considering the decline in the number of fresh Covid-19 cases. All the necessary COVID protocols will be strictly imposed while allowing devotees inside the religious institutions, the BMC notice read.

Entering the sanctum sanctorum is strictly forbidden for devotees while a maximum number of 100 devotees are being allowed at a time.

Lingaraj Temple and ISKCON Temple in the City will open their doors for devotees from September 1.
