In this viral video, 11 year-old borewell mishap survivor Rahul Sahu can be seen sitting on a chair and watching the bulldozers filling up the pits. These pits were dug to rescue Rahul from the 80-feet-deep borewell. The rescue operation took around 105 hours to rescue Rahul from the borewell pit.
The Pihrid village resembled the Badadanda in Puri with ‘Jay Jagannath’ chants and the beating of gongs reverberating the atmosphere when Sahu was brought in on a chariot.
Rahul will meet the collector of Janjgir Champa district before heading towards his village Pihrid.
It was one of the longest bore well rescue operations in the country as it took nearly 105 hours to successfully rescue Rahul as the team had to face many challenges during the task.
The ceremony was attended by all officials including the Janjgir-Champa district administration, local police, fire fighters, SDRF and NDRF, who helped make the 104-hour rescue operation a success.
As the news spread, a rescue operation was immediately launched to rescue Rahul safely. The team comprising NDRF, SDRF, Army personnel including others left no stone unturned to make it a success one.
