The bench said that it will pass orders on the plea and would ask the NTA and NEET to include a specific segment in the examination brochure for students with disabilities and would also ask them to train the invigilators appropriately.
The ministry further said that the criteria for determination of EWS category was derived after due deliberation with all the concerned stakeholders.

The Tamil Nadu government on Monday (Sept 13) passed a bill to scrap the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) for the state’s medical aspirants. Under the Bill, instead of the exam, these students will be provided admissions into undergraduate medical courses based on Class 12 marks.
