India on Friday said that the "unfortunate" attack on a 28-year-old student from Agra on October 6 should be taken seriously and swift action must be taken against the perpetrators.
The victim, identified as Kartik Vasudev, was shot on Thursday evening at the Glen Road entrance to Sherbourne TTC station in St James Town.

Harjot Singh, a Delhi resident, was trying to return to India along with his friends during the ongoing war between Ukraine and Russia. Due to lack of space in the train, he booked a cab to reach the Poland border, but on his way he was suddenly stopped and asked to return back to Ukraine.
The victim was identified as Naveen Shekarappa Gyanagoudar, a native of Chalageri in the Haveri district of Karnataka who was studying at a medical college in Ukraine, according to Karnataka State Disaster Management Authority Commissioner Manoj Rajan.
An Indian student lost his life in reported shelling at the Ukrainian city of Kharkiv on Tuesday.
