Police team of Bokakhat intercepted this truck and seized 48 cattle from the vehicle in Assam’s Golaghat district on Monday morning. Anita Hazarika, SDPO of Bokakhat said that, the seized cattle were fully packed in the truck. When police searched the truck, they found 47 cattle dead due to overcrowding and lack of oxygen.

A vehicle allegedly engaged in cattle smuggling was seized at Mangaraj Square on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar on Monday. Members of a local outfit intercepted the vehicle while it was en route Puri’s Sakhigopal from Cuttack.

As per the police, three Muslim youth were transporting 30 cows in a truck on Tuesday. However, when their vehicle reached the Seoni-Malwa area, it was stopped by a group of people who brutally thrashed them.
