Doorstep COVID19 Testing, pick-&-drop vaccination for senior citizens in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) has decided to introduce new services for COVID19 testing and vaccination of senior citizens. According to the civic body, senior citizens who are staying alone and cannot travel, doorstep testing services will be provided. Similarly, for vaccination, pick and drop facilities will be provided by the civic body to senior citizens facing difficulties in visiting vaccination centers.

‘No Vaccines Left For Private Hospitals In Bhubaneswar’

Private hospitals in Bhubaneswar will have to wait further and may not be able to vaccinate people as of now. There are not enough vaccine doses available to be provided to the private hospitals to vaccinate people. Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) Commissioner, Prem Chandra Chaudhary said that the BMC received 1.5 lakh doses for which booking has already been done. Once BMC receives more vaccine, it will be provided to the private hospitals, he added.
