MGNREGA is aimed at enhancing livelihood security of households in rural areas of the country by providing at least 100 days of guaranteed wage employment in a financial year to every household whose adult members volunteer to do unskilled manual work.
India now has more than 61,400 startups recognised by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT). At least 14,000 recognised startups have been added in 2021-22 fiscal, according to the Economic Survey 2021-22.
The agency was allocated Rs 835.39 crore to manage its affairs in 2021-22 which was later increased to Rs 870.50 crore in the Revised Estimates given in the Budget document released Tuesday by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman.

Trinamool member Saugata Roy and DMK member Dayanidhi Maran were heard criticising the allocation made for setting up an international arbitration centre at GIFT city. "Is this Union Budget or Gujarat Budget? This is good only for Gujarat," Roy and Maran were heard as saying.
Nirmala Sitharaman on February 1, 2021 presented what she called was 'once-in-a-century budget' as it looked to revive Asia's third-largest economy via investing in infrastructure and healthcare while relying on an aggressive privatisation strategy and robust tax collections.
"The ministry of finance maintains secrecy about the budget... before presenting his/her speech, the finance minister is bound to keep secrecy about the Budget provisions," an official said.
Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Sunday held a pre-budget stakeholder meeting with BJP leaders and other intellectuals associated with the party.
